Wedding Guest Dilemma. What to Wear.

It used to be that the height of wedding season lasted from around April to September and weddings were held on a Friday or Saturday night. But, that is no longer the case. Weddings are held throughout the entire year and now are being celebrated even on Thursdays and Sundays.

With this the question always comes, what should I wear?? Sunday daytime wedding, Friday evening wedding, what is appropriate for me to wear? I always go by, it is better to be over dressed then under dressed, even if the invitation says casual, but that doesn’t mean I should wear a black tight cocktail dress to a Sunday daytime wedding in the Summer!!

Here are a few things to consider:

The location/venue is a big hint about what to wear. If it’s a Black Tie wedding, formal evening gowns are always appropriate. If the wedding is on a beach in Mexico, you’re going to want something light weight, flowy and romantic. If it is on a Sunday, chances are it’s a little more conservative, so go with a knee length or midi style dress.

If it the ceremony is in a church, you'll need a wrap or a different dress for that part of the wedding.

Never ever wear White! Not just at the reception but any wedding event, from the bridal shower to the rehearsal dinner.

Your dress can have a sexy element. A low neckline, cutout, short hemline, or low back. But no more then one!

This Jovani bandage dress is a stunner. It is perfect for an evening wedding. It's fitted style sucks you in, in all the right places, and the beaded belt adds a touch of sparkle. With the different shades of blue, this dress  looks beautiful on any skin tone.

I am a little obsessed with this skirt and top. The color is called Dove, which is this light blueish gray color which I totally love.

The bag shown here is a bag I wore  in a recent post,  For The Love For Stripes, so you can shop the look from there. In the previous post, I wore it as a shoulder bag and as a clutch with this outfit. I'm really into pieces that are multi functional. Since the color of this skirt and top are so neutral, I can pair it with different things come Fall. I did jump on the choker trend, a little late to the party, lol but I have bought a few.
